In the second part of "meet the team at Merritt Home Hardware", we'd love to introduce our Contract Sales manager Wade Garcia to you.

If you've been to Merritt Home Hardware, you've probably met Wade. While he works mostly with contractors, he's always happy to give great advice for your next project - and in the 24 (!) years since he started working at the store, he's spent time in every single department.Â

Yes, that's right - Wade has been with Merritt Home Hardware since September 1991! We were lucky to recruit him straight out of High School, and we're not about to let him leave 😊
Wade is known for always going the extra mile and for making sure that his customers have everything they need for their project, and also have different options to consider.
He's a perfectionist in the best possible way, which makes him the perfect Contract Sales manager. He loves the diversity and challenge of project-based work, and he steps up to the plate every single day - after all, he knows that our contractor customers depend on getting the material they need, exactly when they need it!
The huge variety of projects he works on also keep Wade up to date on the latest developments in the industry, from new products to new techniques, and he's happy to pass all this knowledge on to our customers.
Wade says that the favourite part of working at Home Hardware - apart from awesome, challenging projects - is that his customers put their faith in him. They know he will look after everything they need, and he takes great pride in doing just that.
Outside of work, you can find him either camping or hunting (finding him hunting might be hard though, because he's an expert at blending in with the landscape, and he's not giving up his favourite hunting spots!) - and most of all: spending time with his family.Â
His family is number one for Wade, and together with his wife April (we featured her in last month's blog!) and his two sons, he can be found exploring the beautiful Nicola Valley.
We're sure lucky to have Wade in our Home Hardware family, and we're looking forward to the next 24 years (sorry Wade, your retirement planning will have to wait a bit longer!).
