We are seeking an experienced individual for the position of Retail Floor Manager. This role involves responsibility for the complete retail operation of the store, including maintenance of
facilities, inventory control, marketing, merchandising, sales, cost containment, and personnel management.

We offer a competitive wage of $27-32/hr plus benefits and full-time, permanent employment. Rotating weekend shifts are essential.
Responsibilities
Retail Operations & Sales Management:
- Direct the retail operation of the store while following company policies, in collaboration with Home Installs and Contract Sales as needed.
- Establish and ensure the meeting of sales and productivity goals for operations, as well as achieve financial, people, quality, growth, and performance group goals as identified in the annual
strategic plan.
- Track daily sales and compare them to projected sales.
- Understand and utilize the POS system and terminal, ensuring cash reports and deposits balance daily.
- Maintain store fixtures and equipment functionality, and suggest equipment and infrastructure improvements to management.
- Understand and monitor competitors in the area and communicate findings to the Dealer-Owner(s) and staff.
Personnel Management & Team Leadership:
- Provide direction, guidance, training, and supervision to retail floor staff.
- Ensure all new staff are properly trained and oriented to the company.
- Resolve employee complaints and issues promptly.
- Take appropriate disciplinary action when company rules are violated, maintaining complete and accurate records.
- Establish and maintain bi-weekly staff work schedules, considering store traffic patterns as well as vacation and time off requests
- Assist HR staff as needed to fill vacant job postings on the retail floor.
- Evaluate employee performance on a regular basis.
- Maintain a respectful and accessible environment that encourages high employee productivity and morale.
Merchandising, Marketing & Customer Service:
- Maintain good customer relations through on-floor presence, product knowledge, and the ability to assist customers.
- Resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Manage inventory to maximize profit.
- Brief and prepare sales staff and department heads for upcoming flyers, sales, and promotional activities.
- Ensure merchandise is marked down accurately and in a timely fashion.
Safety & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain safety training and loss prevention programs.
- Identify, report, and rectify potential hazards and unsafe behaviour to the team or management.
- Fulfill all personal and staff policies and procedures as identified in the health and safety program.
- Follow procedures for loss prevention, receiving and pricing goods, merchandising, housekeeping, reordering, restocking, and cash handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems and related purchase procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain good relations with Dealer-Owner(s), management, and employees.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and train personnel capable of assuming further responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills to direct organizational response and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Commitment to treating all employees with respect.
- Willingness to attend trade shows and markets.
- Ability to authorize financial tools such as credit limits and cheques in line with store policies.
- Ability to work safely in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation.
